Sanjay Kumar: He is a supply chain professional working with Indian Railways for 20+years. He has twin Master degrees - Environmental Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee, India and Public Policy & Sustainable Development from Teri University, New Delhi, India. His interest lies in integrating sustainability concerns in the supply chain process in particular and business in general. For the last ten years, he has been leading an advocacy campaign for the implementation of Sustainable Public Procurement policy in India and other developing countries.
He is currently working as Chief Materials Manager Central Railway, Ministry of Railway, where he leads procurement and supply chain of products and services. He has led various initiatives in research, advocacy and implementation of Sustainable Purchasing programme in India and been an ardent advocate for implementing sustainable/green procurement in developing countries. He has written for several national and international newspapers, magazines, and journals. He has appeared on national television as a panelist for discussions on issues related to the environment, climate change and sustainable development. He has spoken in several countries as an invited speaker on sustainable/green procurement.
He is engaged with several agencies in ongoing research in procurement related fields in honourary capacity. Some of them are:

SPLC also noted - "through active collaboration with international entities, Sanjay has become a recognized advocate for sustainable procurement on the global stage".
